Daniel Coleman worked 31 years in financial services. His most recent position was CEO of KCG Holdings. Until the its recent sale, KCG was New York based public company with offices London, Singapore, Chicago, and San Jose. Created in 2013 through the merger of Knight Capital Group and GETCO LLC, KCG was a leading trader of equities, futures, government bonds, and options around the world. Prior to KCG, Daniel was CEO of GETCO, a privately held, automated trading firm based in Chicago. Before joining GETCO, Daniel worked for UBS and its predecessor firms for 24 years. His last role was the Global Head of Equities, the largest division of the UBS Investment Bank. He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Investment Bank as well as the Group Managing Board of UBS Ag.

In addition to the boards of KCG and GETCO, Daniel’s past board memberships include NASDAQ Inc., The Options Clearing Corporation, The Boston Options Exchange, and the Securities Industry Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). Daniel has also served on the boards of trustees of Birmingham-Southern College and the Alabama Symphony Foundation.


Daniel holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a graduate of the Altamont School. Daniel is currently an adjunct professor of finance at Birmingham-Southern College. Daniel and his wife Brooke both grew up in Birmingham. After living in the New York area for 12 years, they moved back to Birmingham with their three children in 2009.
